CorreLog's New Webinar: How to Arm Your GDPR Data Protection Officer with Mainframe Security Tools Needed to Navigate the New Law's 72-hour Reporting Requirement

Speakers: Peter Mills and Tony Perri, CorreLog, Inc., with Antoine Gruson, Insoft Infotel GmbH

The new GDPR law, has gone into effect as of May 25, 2018 and the new law calls for a new role in IT, the Data Protection Officer. It is the DPO who must notify the proper authorities within 72 hours of potential breach, meaning real-time notifications from all systems – mainframe and distributed – are paramount. Considering the average time to discover a breach in 2017 was 197 days (Ponemon/IBM 2018 report), this 72-hour GDPR mandate seems an impossibility.

What you will learn from this webinar:

  • Review the finer points of the GDPR as it relates to your mainframe data.
  • Review tools you currently possess on your mainframe that can notify the DPO of any threat activity in real-time.
  • Discuss how to prepare for this regulation.
